When Jesus told me this was the final key to include in this teaching I can’t say his choice surprised me. Love. Well, that’s not a surprise. But to love … the unlovable? I was not at first TOLD what this chapter would contain. Instead of talking to me, he SHOWED me over a ten year period where he led through dark valleys, an earthquake, many evictions, divorce, personal hardship in so many dimensions, fighting witchcraft, saving people from incest, murder and rape. It’s not that sordid a tale, and I keep most all of it private out of respect for the victims. But what I mean to say is that this Key was not TOLD to me … I had to experience much of it to understand it.
I do not like to write prophecy from my understanding and am worried about talking too much on my own opinion, so I won’t! Which also means I have to wait to share more on this topic for now.
What I can say is that the underlying idea of Love is the motivation for God making us, knowing we would fall into sin, knowing he would send himself as the Son to be our redemption, knowing many of us won’t care, but knowing a few, a small precious few will understand and love him back.
Love is actually the reason why he sent us spiritual gifts. Love is why we each have a role to play in the Body. Love is why we serve people in ministry to do better than we can do ourselves. Love serves people even when it hurts us. That’s hard, but it’s true. Love is therefore why the Gospel is meant to change us so we can stop being such a part of the problem and make us into an image of perfection so we can receive all kinds of blessings from God that a broken, misbehaving person simply cannot receive. Love is therefore why he empowers us with Grace, love is why he enables us to share personal intimate fellowship with him. Love is the underlying foundation of all that God is doing to us, for us, with us. It is a logical conclusion, a plain fact, but when I finally cried out to God, “It is enough! You want to show us your love, WE want to feel your love. Enough already! Just show us your love!!” and He said immediately, “But you can’t understand my love.” and I FREAKED OUT! Yelling I said “THEN WHY ON EARTH AM I ASKING FOR IT THEN!!!” And he calmed down my frustrated heart and said, “NO, no, … You can’t UNDERSTAND it …. you have to EXPERIENCE IT!”
OH!! That’s good I thought! And when I asked him to explain the verse, “and so to know the love of God, beyond knowledge.” What is this verse here that says to know ‘beyond knowledge’—what is beyond knowledge, I asked him? And he said “That’s easy. Beyond knowledge … is Experience.”
God wants us to EXPERIENCE his love. There is no other way to comprehend it. When we do we see things from a totally new perspective and people we HATE with NO LIKABLE traits we will understand are still loved by God, and rubbing off on us, can be loved by us even—it’s true!.
How can this be? How can God love the unlovable? Reading Mitt Jefford’s prophecy, The Valley of Mediggo, he heard God say, that we see evil and sin in people and see a reason why God should hate them and judge them. But God sees their weakness and brokenness and bondage and blindness and sees reasons to help, heal and forgive them. This will NOT make sense to a normal human, especially one with a broken heart, unhealed trauma, bondages or spiritual blindness. Love is far too heavy and far too costly for such a person to carry. But God can, and if we can be made whole, with full Shalom, full restoration, then we too will be able to escape our pain and fear and be able to dare to love with such a heavy weight of purity, to love our enemies and even love, yes, those who are unlovable. God can! And the more we can think like God from what grace of gold God has been allowed to deposit into our hearts, well, so can we … and as a man thinks in his heart, so IS he.
God told me the Flesh is the human level Intellect, Understanding, Perception, Motives and Desires. This is all selfish and self-serving at it’s root. Humans behave more like a Black Hole, sucking everything, even light, back into themselves. But our God is a SUN, and a shield and a waterfall, a river of live, a love that just keeps on giving. It is becoming clearer and clearer that Love is God’s Intellect, Understanding, Perception, Motives and Desires. The Flesh vs Love is the great battle we face as humans on earth, which to choose is our great challenge. God has given us keys and tools, gifts and understanding … let us pray we fight this good fight until we can claim victory the Jesus paid for so dearly. After all he loves the unlovable … and sometimes the unlovable … is us!
